This spring I walked into a book signing event that felt like it was full of friends.
It was like JP, the comedian who makes fun of all our spiritual games, had opened a portal to spirit and we were all swimming in the soup of alignment.
I went in expecting to laugh at myself and came out inspired.
JP has depth! And he has a message for you.... Listen all the way to the end to find our what JP thinks about prayer!
In this episode: Gun control, Kyle Cease, fear zones, the spiritual realm, prayer, and intention setting…
Keep reading for 5 tips from JP about how to move BEYOND your FEAR!
1. Feel the fear: Be willing to feel the feelings and the discomforts of the them.
By-passing our fears means that we will try to avoid doing things that push us to feel fear. Fear is a primal emotion that says that whatever I am afraid of might kill me. But 99% of what scares me actually wont kill me. Sometimes fear feels like being at the edge of a cliff. But most of the time, you only at a metaphorical edge - not a life threatening edge.
Good news! Releasing the Gun Control Video did not kill JP!
2. Do the things you're afraid of.
JP rides his growing edge. He pushes himself to do those things he is afraid of. He says otherwise he is “living in complacency in the coffin of my comfort zone.”
When we take the risk to jump outside our comfort zone we can not only have experiences and grow from them - but ALSO learn that what feels like it might kill us wont.
3. Get primal with it.
Just take the time to sense into the body. Use the muscle of awareness to notice the fear as it passes through.
Our bodies are full of wisdom and we can track the movement of the sensations like we can track the weather.
This creates a level of distance from identifying with the fear that makes it easier to let it go when its time has passed, rather than re-stimulating the fear pattern.
4. Voice it to one of those things called a human being.
Share with someone who IS a “safe space.” This is someone who wont violate you by trying to change the fear. Tell someone who can understand, listen, and allow you to be you.
This is not to change or get rid of fear, but to actually go into the fear even more.
5. Say YES to the creativity that wants to come through:
When we exit the comfort zone and expand to our edge, we discover the bigness that we are in the process of self realization.
Cultivate the sensitivity to realize an experience you want to have that already exists…
